Krabi 1 Day Schedule for Nature/Wildlife
Stay in Ao Nang Beach on the water or close to the water if possible. Yes, it will be expensive during the high season, but you can probably still find rooms for under 2,000 THB!
6:00 am. Wake up and shower and get down to the lobby for your Breakfast at the Hotel. It usually makes sense to eat the hotel because they will have something you like in the buffet and you won’t spend time looking all over town for it.
7 am. Get a GRAB or BOLT ride to Dragon’s Crest Mountain Trail (info). This one goes up a 500 meter high mountain and at the top gives you AMAZING VIEWS that really cannot be beat in Krabi, but probably anywhere in Thailand’s south! They are that good!
The hike up the mountain will take around 2 hours if you stop at some of the many viewpoints on the way to the top for photos and to gaze out across the countryside.
11 am. Soak in the Freshwater Stream at the park and cool off. Bring a change of clothes, there are restrooms. You can rinse off in the water and change your clothes so you’re ready to go eat lunch. For a bonus, bring your own snorkeling mask and dip your head in there to see the various freshwater fish swimming around you!
11:45 am. Eat at See the Sea Restaurant. Great seafood and service, and you’ll need the fuel for the rest of the day. The fruit drinks in a blender are delicious and will quench your thirst!
12:30 pm. GRAB ride to Klong Muang Beach. Book a ride to Hong Island and Ko Lao Lading Island. These are 2 of the best islands in Krabi and you can skip the rest. You’ll be charged a fee of around 200 THB per person in addition to the boat ride for the National Park fee. You can snorkel and swim around the islands and there is a lookout point on Ko Hong that you can climb up for stunning views.
4 pm. Return to Hotel in Ao Nang. Clean up and grab an early dinner at Umberto’s Italian if you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, or steak. You won’t be disappointed. Or, if it’s Thai food you crave, go to REEVE Beach Club on Ao Nang Beach. Thai food is more expensive here than you might be used to, but the view and atmosphere is nice.
6 pm. You’ll have booked a Blue Plankton Tour with us and your GRAB ride will take you to Ao Nam Mao Pier. You’ll enjoy sunset on the water and will see the Blue Plankton bioluminescence – swimming or snorkeling with it if you choose to.
8:30 pm. The Blue Plankton tour is finished and you can retire back to your hotel or enjoy some of Ao Nang’s nightlife at Centerpoint or one of the beach clubs.
