Unique and Exclusive Krabi Field Trips
These are uncrowded, unique Krabi tours that you cannot find anywhere else.
1. NIGHT WILDLIFE TOUR #1 – Night – 2-3 hours – suitable for almost anyone. Slow loris, frogs, snakes, geckos, and lizards. The tour starts at 7 pm. and ends at 9 or 10 pm. This tour is located in a remote location outside Krabi Town by 20 km on the edge of the primary rainforest. There is a wide variety of habitats. There are bungalows you can stay at for 800-1200 THB overnight. Highly suggested. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The resort manager and family give outstanding service and everyone is treated as family.
TOTAL: 2,600 THB for one, 3,200 for 2 persons. 3,900 for 3 people. 4,400 for 4 people.
2. KRABI VERTICAL CHALLENGE – Climb 3 high points (top of mountain peaks) in 1 day! This is an all-day tour lasting about 9 hours. The tour leaders stops at a restaurant where you can eat lunch (not included). The tour starts with 7 am. pickup and ends about 4 pm. Includes transportation from the hotel in Krabi Town or Ao Nang. This is a VERY INTENSE challenge and you should only attempt it if you are in excellent shape. You will climb over 1 kilometer of VERTICAL elevation.
TOTAL: 2,800 THB for 1 person – minimum 2 people. Does not include National park fee of 200 THB and the temple fee of 50 THB.
3. NIGHT WILDLIFE TOUR #2 – Night – 2-3 hours – suitable for anyone. See slow loris, frogs, snakes, geckos, spiders, insects, lizards and many more living creatures. The tour starts at 7:30 pm. and ends at 9:30 or 10:30 pm. This is an easy and very slow walk in the cool of the night.
TOTAL: 2,600 THB for one, 3,200 for 2 persons. 3,900 for 3 people. 4,400 for 4 people.
4. SECRET WATERFALL – 15 minute walk. Easy to reach. Private land. 2-3 hours, and nobody ever gets to see this except on our tour. This is a new one we just developed, and it is remarkable. Great for kids and adults of any age. Open during rain season June – October.
TOTAL: 600 THB per person. Contact us, we haven’t made a “Trip” for it where you can book directly yet. 20 km from Krabi Town.
5. CAVE #1 – Dry walk around, 1-2 hours total time spent there usually, Suitable for almost anyone fit, but must climb a short/steep bit that is slippery. This cave tour was fairly common for a while, but then most tour companies dropped it from their list. We love it because the setting is so amazing. Fit people only, please. We find toads, geckos, bats, and the occasional snake. There is a freshwater stream to sit in for a bit if you bring a change of clothes.
TOTAL: 3,700 THB for 1-2 persons. 4000 THB for 3 people. 4,300 THB for 4 people.
6. RIVER KAYAK – Unguided, 2-4 hours, Birds and Snakes. Suitable for most people. This tour depends on the tides, so it isn’t 100% for every day. If interested, let us know and we’ll see if we can put you on the water. This is in Krabi Town.
TOTAL: 2,800 THB for 1 person, 4,800 for 2 persons. Email for a custom price if more than 2 people.
7. JUNGLE TREK – 3-4 hours, climbing to the viewpoint. This trek starts in the morning and goes through a rubber tree plantation along a stream before heading up into the primary forest. There is a considerable climb to reach the viewpoint, but most people will be able to do it. This is not a fast tour, it is at a slow pace.
TOTAL: 1,400 THB for 1 person, 2,400 for 2 persons. Email for a custom price if more than 2 people.
8. BIRDWATCHING BY BOAT – On the Krabi River in the mangrove area. Many bird species to find. Our TOP TOUR.
9. BUTTERFLY WALKING TOUR – A daytime trip on a country road walking through dense rainforest looking for many butterfly species! Great for kids and photographers.
Common Tours (Other Tour Companies Have)
1. WATER FUN – CRYSTAL POOL and HOT SPRING – Natural Spring-fed Pools (2 stops). The most popular tour in Krabi, outside of Phi Phi Island, and Railay Tours. Very crowded, but the walk to the pools is nice. Don’t miss the blue pool, a short walk from the main Crystal Pool. Ideal for anyone who can walk about 1 kilometer on a path in the hot jungle. About 55 km from Krabi Town, many people take motorbikes or other vehicle themselves. Park fees are 400 THB per adult and 200 THB for children.
TOTAL: 3,100 THB for 1-5 people. Plus park fees.
2. TIGER CAVE TEMPLE – Climb to a viewpoint (difficult). Fun for everyone, kids too! You might not think you want to see a Buddhist temple while in Krabi, but you shouldn’t miss this one, even though it is very crowded, it’s an absolutely gorgeous view from the top of the 280-meter high mountain you climb 1,256 steps up to see. Macaques (monkeys) here, which sometimes bite. Please don’t feed them or stare at them too closely.
TOTAL: 1,400 per adult from Krabi Town. 1,900 THB from Ao Nang Beach. There is a 50 THB fee for each person at the entrance. New VIP Toyota van.
3. WATERFALL and TIGER CAVE TEMPLE (2-stops). All year the waterfall has enough water, and offers a cool place to swim. There are a few levels you can climb up to. It’s very steep. This gets crowded during the high season (November – May).
TOTAL: 2,800 per adult. 1,200 per child under 12. Does not include National park fee of 200 THB or temple fee of 50 THB.
4. PRIVATE FOUR ISLAND LONGTAIL BOAT TOUR – 1/2 Day. A longtail boat takes you around to four popular islands off Ao Nang Beach. You can snorkel and swim. Ideal for anyone, any age.
TOTAL: 3,200 plus National park fee of 200 THB per adult.
