There is basically 1 good Thai food cooking class in Krabi at this time (January 2025). There are a handful of cooking schools we would never recommend to you or anyone. Some people create a business just to see how it does. They don’t know how to connect with people and make them smile, all while cooking a fantastic Thai meal. They are not really into the experience and don’t give tourists the BEST EXPERIENCE.
Here in Krabi Town and Ao Nang Krabi we have been referring people to our #1 favorite Krabi cooking class for as long as we can remember.
For years, we ran our own Thai Food Cooking website! You may have seen it in the past, it was JoysThaiFood.com. We sold it to someone about 5 years ago, and the site isn’t so nice anymore, but we know a lot about cooking Thai food favorites and though we did it for our own family, we recognize exceptional Thai food and want to reward our friend who created this little Krabi cooking school.
What Thai Food Can You Learn to Cook?
Som Tam! Thailand’s national dish. We eat it a few times each week at our household here in Krabi.
Pad Thai! Sticky noodles with fried egg, peanuts, sprouts, shrimp, and endless variations. Learn to cook this and then take it home with you to cook at your own home. A family favorite.
Curries! We can show you how to make a few different curry creations that will water your mouth! Easy to make and southern Thailand favorites that the whole family will love – spicy or not.
Mango Sticky Rice (Desert)! This is the absolute best desert ever. We make this or pick it up at the night market at least once per week, and when our friend from the Netherlands is here we eat it every single night for a month! He LOVES IT!
