Yes. There is a Thai restaurant in the headquarters area.
It operates in the morning and early afternoon and normally closes around 2 PM.
We recommend carrying some personal snacks anyway if you're doing serious hiking.

IS THERE DRINKING WATER?
Yes, at the restaurant, but if the cook is sick and the restaurant isn't open, you won't have any. Don't depend on finding water once you're on the trail. Bring enough before hiking. For strenuous hiking, bring at least 1–1.5 liters per person.

No. We don't actually guide this tour. This is a do-it-yourself tour. Our driver can help with information and the park has many rangers and staff.

The lower waterfall area is relatively straightforward.

The larger trail network becomes more complicated and considerably more strenuous.

If you intend to explore farther into the forest, going with someone familiar with the area is a much better idea than randomly following jungle trails.

Hornbills and these other birds occur in the forest of southern Thailand and have been recorded around Khao Phanom Bencha. Seeing one is possible. Seeing one is not guaranteed.

That's birdwatching!

Maybe. Probably some. But we won't promise a monkey sitting on a branch at 9:17 AM.

Wildlife is wild.

Birds, butterflies, lizards and insects are more commonly encountered than large mammals. Moving slowly and quietly dramatically improves your chances. Birds are most often found around the water at the various pools and along the trees of the freshwater stream.

Swimming depends upon conditions on the day. Water volume and current change with rainfall. Some pools may be suitable for swimming while others may not.

The final decision should always be based on actual conditions and what the park rangers say. During heavy rain, you cannot swim, there is a chance of rapidly increasing height of the stream.

Usually, yes. It's a rainforest. You should expect the possibility of rain.

Light rain is generally fine. Heavy rain can create unsafe waterfall, stream or trail conditions.

If park staff close an area or we believe conditions are unsafe, we will not enter it.
