Do I need to be an advanced photographer to join a workshop?
No, workshops are ideal for those looking to learn. Daily instruction will ensure you have a solid understanding of camera and photographic techniques.

Yes, please contact us to discuss your request. We offer private workshops are always adding new adventures to our clients.
What equipment and items should I bring on my workshop?
All participants will receive a list of equipment and items to bring specific to your workshop requirements.
When is the balance of my photo adventure payable?
Contact us, it depends on many factors.
What if my camera breaks during the workshop?
You’ll need to bring a backup. Krabi doesn’t have a great camera shop where you can fix lenses or problems with your camera body.
Why should I buy travel insurance?
We highly recommend buying travel insurance. Should there be a last minute emergency or an unexpected situation and the workshop has to be cancelled, NPA is not responsible for any travel costs or losses incurred.
What happens if I have to cancel my workshop?
Please contact us. Your deposit is not refundable. Please be absolutely sure you’re coming. We need to make arrangements for you coming, and you are also blocking a number of days where we cannot accept anyone else for tours.
What meals are available during the workshop? I am a vegetarian or vegan or have specific allergies.
Please let us know in advance we will do our best to find local restaurants with meals suitable to your needs. Please note when traveling to certain destinations meals are based on culture standards, vegetarian meals are available for most workshop destinations.
Do you provide private workshops? How much does it cost?
Yes, please contact us for more information. Basic photographic instruction service fees are $500/day with additional travel costs, basic accommodations apply.
What do I do if a workshop is full?
Please contact us and add you to the Wish List. In some cases we add another workshop based on client demand and Workshop Leader schedules.
What happens if my flight is cancelled or delayed for the workshop I will be attending?
Should your flight be delayed or cancelled we will ensure your adventure will still be a success. Contact us and let us know the situation and we will accommodate to start the workshop with the rest of the group.
What happens if my workshop is cancelled due to natural disasters, political instability or other circumstances?
Keeping our clients safe and out of harm’s way is our priority. Should we decide to cancel a workshop due to natural disasters or political instability in the region, we will refund your payments. We stay in contact with you prior to the workshop and will create an alternative workshop for participants.
Do you guarantee a specific species?
Most trips we will see and photograph a large variety of species. It is nature and wildlife, and we cannot guarantee any species, of course. We do our best and we know where certain species are usually found.
What happens when my workshop is over?
Please share with us wherever you post your images from our tour.
Can I bring a non-photographer or friend, spouse, significant other?
All photographers, birders, friends, spouses, significant others are welcome to any of our workshops. Our adventures are designed for all to enjoy. Many of the places have alternative activities for the non-photographer to enjoy. We contact us and we can make some recommendations.
Can non-photographers join a workshop?
All are welcome. All sorts of photographers have enjoyed our workshops as we are able to get you close the species. You don’t have to be a photographer to come to a workshop, but if you would like to try out a photography workshop before investing in camera equipment we can lend you a camera. We recommend a private lesson prior to ensure you have basic knowledge prior to travel.
Do I have to be an experienced photographer to join?
No, the purposes of our adventures are to train you how to take a photograph and use your camera while enjoying the destination.
Do you provide short term workshops?
Yes, we offer 1-2 night photo tours in Southern Thailand in addition to our longer term workshops.
Can my son or daughter travel with me, if they are under 18 years old?
Yes for most field trips, as long as they are with a person over 18 years old.
Do you have Headlamps?
Yes, we have Petzl Headlamps primarily – great reliability, incredible light quality and beam shape.
