Fitness Level
- We walk very slowly, mostly flat with a few gentle slopes. Almost anyone can join.
Age Range
- Minimum age: 12 years old
- No upper age limit – if you can walk slow and stand for at least 2 hours, OK!

What You’ll See
We usually spot 30+ species every night with many of them being memorable!
Often Seen
Forest lizards, bent-toed geckos, gliding geckos, frogs, toads, scorpions, tarantulas, huntsman and wolf spiders, whip snakes, Malayan pit viper, Brown-spotted green pit viper, bats, moths, butterflies, beetles, millipedes, centipedes, katydids, crickets, and birds sleeping.
Sometimes Seen
Civets, slow lorises, colugos, flying foxes, owls, nightjars, mouse deer, stick & leaf insects, gliding lizards, praying mantises, hog badgers, wild cats.
We can focus on what you want to see. If you don’t want snakes, we skip them. The guides are experts — you’ll be safe.

Safety
18 years – zero injuries. Follow instructions, and you’ll be fine.
We don’t have tigers, leopards, or bears. There’s only one local ground snake we stay aware of — it’s lazy and easy to spot.

Getting There
- Save money and rent your own scooter or automobile. Or, take our van to the meeting spot. It’s ideal if you have your own car or scooter, but we do have a taxi that will take you into the forest for an extra fee. Please note – GRAB/BOLT do not take you into the forest, we have tried many times.

What to Wear
- Closed-toe shoes (running or hiking shoes)
- Socks required
- No sandals, Crocs, or flip-flops
- Optional – hat, lightweight long pants, and long sleeves
Bugs
- Very few mosquitoes – bring bug lotion if you want.
- Rarely have ticks and never leeches!

Adding Participants to Your Tour
In some cases if you are open to it, we may add people to the same tour. This means a discount for you and you could possibly share the van and split the cost there. This is rare during low season (May to October) as we don’t have many people who want the same day. There are also not many people who want to share the experience, they usually come to us for a private experience.
