Day wildlife tours? WIth the success of our Night Wildlife Walking Tour in Krabi, we’ve now added a DAYTIME walk that will find some of the same animals you can see at night, and some new ones!
This is perfect for families with kids, singles, or couples. The other night we had 13 people in a family book from the Netherlands! It’s really ideal for anyone who loves nature and who wants to see animals in their native habitat.

Krabi Wildlife Tour through the Rainforest
- ANY DAY. (Reserve your space as soon as you book your rooms!)
- 1-2 HOURS available. You choose.
- KIDS OVER 12 YEARS – OK!
- NOT TOO DIFFICULT! (If you can walk around for 1-2 hours, you are fit enough. We do go up and down some small hills, but we bring cold water for you and go at your pace.

What Can You See on a Krabi Wildlife Walk?
Other Animals Found
BUTTERFLIES are everywhere at the moment. Book now to see 10-20 species. Many bird species are possible, including PITTAS and EAGLES. We usually see GLIDING GECKOS and FOREST LIZARDS. We often see TARANTULAS in their hole on this DAY SAFARI.
We see SKINKS all the time. If we dig through the leaf litter we can find SKINKS, CENTIPEDES, MILLIPEDES, SCORPIONS, BEETLES, and other BUGS. We sometimes see PREYING MANTIS and other cool insects.
We can also focus on snakes – we sometimes see them if we look hard!

The NIGHT SAFARI has some different animals. We usually see MORE SNAKES, BATS, CENTIPEDES, BEETLES, SLOW LORISES, COLUGOS, HOG BADGERS, OWLS, FROGS, TOADS, STICK INSECTS, MOTHS, NIGHT JARS, GECKOS, and MANY SPIDERS of all kind – including the TARANTULAS. See a Night Safari TRIP REPORT here.
How To Do It?
You register for the walk and install the Night Safari App on your iPhone. An informative female audio voice tells you all about the area you’re in and how to find wildlife! It’s the coolest thing! You don’t need a guide, and it’s fully immersive. You are there yourself walking around the remote country road through the rainforest. Once in a lifetime experience!

ON DAY SAFARI – BRING:
- HAT! Bring a hat, as big as you can stand to keep the heat off your head, face, and neck. It really helps.
- SHOES – any kind, sport sandals OK, flip-flops won’t be that comfortable.
- RAINCOAT or PONCHO – we get some rain during the days that moves in quickly and disappears. We often have a poncho you can purchase if it rains (cheap).
- JUICE to drink – bring your favorite beverage to drink on the walk. We will provide water, but you may want something with some calories.
PROVIDED FOR YOU:
- Cold Water
- iPhone app to install for audio guidance around the rainforest (works on GPS). No cellular service necessary.
- Ride in Taxi from your hotel in Ao Nang or Krabi Town, to the top of the rainforest hill.
SAFETY RECORD:
Over 17 years we have had no injuries due to falling, exertion, or bites by any animals. We walk on concrete road and paths.
